Bears RB D’Andre Swift had only four of his 16 carries (44 yards, two touchdowns) after halftime in Sunday’s win over the Falcons, as the team managed his workload and rode RB Roschon Johnson as what it felt was the hot hand late in the game. Swift’s second-half usage has been a topic since Week 4. “I think there’s a mindfulness to preserve him a little bit. It’s a long season,” offensive coordinator Press Taylor said, adding that Johnson “was really contributing pretty well for us in a number of aspects” and “showed up in the pass game quite a bit” despite a fourth-quarter fumble. “Swifty was ready to go if we needed it,” Taylor said.
